Hamzah: We're free to have and state our opinions and also to take offense at others'; I will not be concerning myself with how touchy/sensitive you are and it means zilch how many relatives you or I have there, it changes nothing; I say America because the whole atmosphere there currently is one of deep mistrust and fear of what is not familiar...if you deny that, you really shouldn't be having these discussions with anyone...Ill agree that I shouldn't generalise but here, a bit of generalisation is unavoidable.. its primarily the fickle and evil media that is responsible but equally I blame the general public for believing and following the news like sheep...when this mistrust and fear filters down to such a base root level that people are scared to sit next to each other on a plane, I say you're naive and foolishly innocent to believe all is well...airlines are independent of government in the US and that makes it even more critical that they use their independence to not heed the paranoid demands of whoever is getting these Muslim families and people off the planes...its not the first time and not the last for sure...a few conservative Muslims are disgusted by the American and western way of life and resent their presence in their countries and think the west is out to corrupt the muslim way of life; I haven't heard of any Americans getting deplaned by middle eastern carriers because a muslim woman was offended by a skimpily dressed white woman or a Muslim guy complained about an American drinking next to him...have some perspective and set aside your personal feelings on the matter...I love Qatar more than the qataris themselves do but I don't go after people who criticise Qatar...there's at least one post/comment every day on ql from someone that lives here and hates the country or some aspect of it; it does not reduce my love for qatar to accept when they are right;and when they're wrong, I usually leave them with their opinions...as I said, we're all free to have an opinion..take care and please note I'm not looking for a fight and did not wish to insult or disrespect you at any point...hsbe a good evening ahead :-)
