Bikes are not safe anywhere.
The other day I was waiting for transport at Al Waab Road when two motor bikers in their Harley-Davidson "flew" passed me within a span of 10 minutes. They left behind the putrid smell of burning tyres. It made me wonder what caused their tyres to burn.
In my country, engine oil drip down on to the roads from old, damaged buses, rickshaws, cars etc. and when the city receives some light rain, the roads become as slippery as ice for the motorbikes. Many of them slip, hurt themselves or even lose their life. But then having said that, it is the most convenient form of transport keeping in view that is fast and also the cost of gas.
