Madhubala born Mumtaz Jehan Dehlavi in 1933 was highly regraded as "The Beauty with Tragedy" and "The Venus of Indian Cinema." She was also considered as one of the most beautiful actresses to have worked in the industry during her times. While her performance in films such Chalti Ka Naam Ghadi (1958) and Barsaat Ki Raat (1960) were superb, it was in the film Mughal-e-Azam (1960) that established her as an iconic actress of Hindi Cinema. Her dance in the Sheesh Mahal in the film Mughal-e-Azam while singing the song Piyar Kiya to Darna Kiya was a classic performance. The film is enjoyed even today and will be continued to do so for many more years to come.
