HIA does not like people coming to drop off their loved ones. I was there recently to see of my mother and was quite rudely asked to move well away from the barriers that starts at the queue where the passengers check in. They moved me so far away that I could not see my mom getting to the check in desk and she eventually left without waving good bye to me as she could not see me and I her from where the HIA staff moved me to. This has never happened to me at LHR so I would deem it worthy of an award just on that.
