That would be a big problem since there is a new system, you should send your new and old passport plus the QID to your PRO and he will go to the passport office to register your new passport number on to the system and they will renew your QID, however if it's urgent like in your case when your travelling you need to give a copy of your ticket so that yur PRO can expalin your situation and they will make a new QID for you w/in a day.
