Hi. U dont need the original of marriage certificate. U need to have only a photocopy. U can take it to the Indian high commission and get it true copied there. They will charge u approx QR 40 and call u same day in the evening to collect it. After the xerox copy of the marriage certificate is stamped 'true copy' by the indian high commission u can then take it to Ministry of Foreign Affair. I went to Meisameer office and they stamped it with their sticker and signature in less than 2 minutes and charged me QR 20. I then went to immigration office just next to MFA and handed over all the copies to the immigration team in less than 45 minutes.
I'd approached different attestation service organisation who scared me by saying that I would need an original. but that wasnt the case. Its just business that they do including the renounded SHEEN SERVICES who were asking me for QR350 and 12 working days to complete the formalities which took me QR 50 and less than an hr.
