Don't listen to those ignorant people who tell you stick to your job and there is no NOC with the government. The NOC depends only on your line manager. Speak to him and if he says yes you can go ahead. I was in the government myself and my company was more than happy to give me the NOC (manager signed it off, CEO approved it same week, HR department helped me with all the sponsorship transfer processes)
