i'm sorry i don't remember the 'exact' process; but just to let you know, as an expat, you'd better really love that car or want it, because there's a literal roller coaster ride to go through....i wanted to get my 2000 model year car (sentimental attachment to a first car) back into qatar from bahrain when i moved back here....and i had to go and plead at the top most levels in the ministry of environment, ministry of business and trade, the customs and traffic departments....and get each of them to issue letters saying they had no problems with the car coming back to qatar...i was fortunate to meet some very helpful and friendly qataris from the older generation who understood a young guy's love for his first ever car and eventually i was able to get everything in order...the thing is that if you go by the rules/procedures, they just reject the application and what worked for me was the personal approach, appealing to their heart haha...but hey one other thing, i'm not sure, but i think you could get the car in on a separate registration which acknowledges it to be a classic/show car and that would presumably be much easier but with some restrictions too....just my two cents but please take a drive down to the traffic dept and have a chat with one of the senior guys....best of luck with getting your baby in and invite me for a ride too..what car is this anyway?
