i think i'm the only person on earth who actually likes naia terminal 1. it had its day but it's handling much more than it was originally created for. it is of course in a terrible state now but it still offers a glimpse of its former grandeur so long as the ceiling doesn't fall on you. i like the lobby at the departure area and its high ceiling with frames of narra wood and floors made of marble. it was designed by the late leandro locsin, a national artist who also designed my favorite church.
best of all, at least i won't have to get on a bus and climb the tarmac with my carry on luggage in extreme heat.
