Estimates of the number of major mass extinctions in the last 540 million years range from as few as five to more than twenty. It is not really necessary that evolutionary process is the reason for the extinction. Extinction from creationist point of view is also rational.
After all of these data available we still could not able to fill the important gaps with evidences to make a proper flow chart with all the required intermediate forms.
