well i know when the recessions were happening in the western countries, back in India specifically in IT companies there was a huge employment opportunities. now im taking about the same IT companies which were owned by the US. same applies for companies ran by European countries.
Most of the people are self employed or govt sector. So recession isn't affecting them much either.
About Inflation this is how it works: rise in price of commodity+increased demands = Increased salary
and yes its helping the expats, specially those who are working for low wages as they can send more money during their next pay to their families
