It definately happens regularly here. In fact, I was on Paxil when there was a shortage about 6 months ago. My doctor shifted me to Remeron 30mg and it was the best thing ever. Didnt have near the side effects I had with Paxil and it made a huge difference.
But they do run in shortages. I get a 2 month supply each time and the doctor has told me to check with the pharmacy of HMC at about 6 weeks to determine supply just in case.
Its rather unfortunate they dont have a strong inventory control system for pharmaceuticals here in Qatar.
