I was going to say that An-Nisa says that... but i did not want to play the religous card.. but again.... disrespect generates disrespect... be it a woman or man... none of them should hurt each other either physically or verbally....
There are also references to the children's obligation to respect parents... so I am sorry... but it aint that simple... if someone talk crap about your mam or dad... you would be rather agitated ... again not excusing him... but i think the whole story is bias... and again if we was Saudi it would be handled differently... sometime woman gets raped.. or even murdered... and somehow it gets covered up.... double standards
