Most of his tracks have that annoying electronic keyboard sounds which sounds very amateurish like bands from my country, Africa etc. No offence to Africans or African music...
Yanni's music is just overhyped rubbish that was well marketed. Even the recording quality sucks ie. lots of echo to make it sound great.
