Happened to me with my Sri Lankan friend many years back. 2 white Europeans and our friend. Our Sri Lanken friend had hung back just for a second......then the police pounced on him and told him he couldn't walk along the street with all the cafes and had to leave via a side enterance. Myself and the other European just kept asking the police very firmly " Why, why?! He is with us he is our friend".
With that the police just said " Ok, ok, just go, no problem"
Just pure unadulterated racism'
