Brit, it is quite expensive to buy here in Qatar, plus, some have soy in it. You DO NOT want soy, as it is, in most cases, gene manipulated. Nasty stuff!
Tell Mrs. Britexpat to buy almonds with the skin on, to put them in a blender with water, and to blend on "high" for a few minutes, then strain it through a cloth or sieve. It keeps for about 4 days in the fridge.
If you do not mind a little crunch, skip the straining
