Qataris don't believe in ghosts (ie the spirits of departed humans) but they do believe in Jinn.

However they don't like to talk about them because they believe talking about them might make them cause you problems.

If you travel to Oman for instance, they have a very active belief in jinns, and will tell you stories of animals playing cards, or people leaving jail at night to visit family etc.
