typhoon: please don't generalize and disrespect other communities. that whole lankan mafia thing you mention exists in your head. from my mechanic who drove to umm saeed at 3am to help me with my car, to my landlord, colleagues and friends; i have found them to be among the most friendly and inclusive people ever. You could say that too exists in my head. See my point?. It's just how you see things. I hear people say the exact same thing about Filipinos; that they are very cliquey, that they rent all the properties and re-rent it only to their kabayans. Would you like me to believe all that and hate you? I have the most amazing Filipino friends and I would never hate the whole country because of what I heard about some.
