After you get the passport, you can get the residnet permit of the baby and travel to and from pakistan and any other country which still accepts manual passports.
The validity of this passport will be 6 months
OK NICOP!!!
The processing time of NICOP is around 2.5 to 4 months.
As soon as you get the passport, apply for NICOP.
Carefuly fill the form in capital letters, better type it in adobe acrobat and make sure the typed/written letters do not touch the edges. As its an OCR form so 4 coould be confused with A and S with 5 so write it well with black ink. :)
You should also fill it in Urdu. And get it attested (on the bottom) by any other pakistani, other than parents of the baby. You just need his/her NIC number and signature.
Other than that, You'll need the following supporting docs:
-Passport copy of Baby's passport
-Copies of Parents' NICOP/CNIC
-Copies of Parents' passports and Resident Permits
-NICOP Fee receipt of QAR45
You'll get a receipt which has a tracking number on top. You can therefore see the status of ur application on nadra's website.
Although getting NICOP in pakistan takes much less time but there you'll need to get the "bay" form first to apply for it.
I hope i have not missed anythin' :) feel free to lemme know
