@ Ryan

I wouldn't go as far as saying democracy doesn't exist anywhere like MN is saying, but I would like to recall something I was once told by a sociology teacher. He said that Nigeria is a country that has natural resources and Oil enough to turn it into a very rich country. Right now it's doing "OK" but if for whatever reason it turned completely democratic with formal elections the country will collapse, being that there is a large number of cannibals and militant groups in Nigeria who form the majority over the educated minority.

I think u get the point

I personally don't believe democracy to be a "universal system" but I do consider it a good system for the "well informed and well educated" ONLY. As kids our parents deal with us pretty much as dictators do to their nations, in that they decide everything on our behalf, and we have to gladly follow whether we like it or not. Had they not done that, we'd “probably” be fat, uneducated adults with bad health and no future!!! We simply lacked the mental capacity and the education to make decisions back then.

Consider for a second that for MANY nations that's the case for always and not just childhood…..unfortunately that is
