true, and yet they have the nerve to charge the same rates. i started out when the exercise areas and classes were mixed but lost my motivation when they were segregated. the treadmills were always cramped during rush hours in the female area and there was even a time when you needed to limit treadmill use to 20 friggin minutes. all the other equipment are limited to one machine for each type while the male area always has at least a pair and not all the equipment there are available in the female area. initial physical assessment is crappy and overpriced and the trainers don't really give you a proper program even when you're just starting unless you sign up for personal training with them.
had a row with their manager when i was trying to cancel. they gave some lame excuse about their new system that makes them unable to ante-date my cancellation to the time they weren't able to charge my credit card anymore and i myself stopped coming at the same time. got even lamer excuses about them not bothering to follow up on the payments of their customers just to show that they monitor their revenues and still have the nerve to demand that i pay for the months i didn't go because i missed the deadline to apply for cancellation and dump all the responsibility on the customer. they were silent on where the first and last month fees they charged me went when i started membership as it was never applied to any of the months i went there, as well as the free month they promised when i first signed up.
the equipment and classes are nice, and the staff are too, but you have to monitor your payments and check the initial receipt issued upon joining. they might have been charging you for the extra months that you might never use up and hope you just forget about it.
