The killing of american ambassador is detestable and in no way permissible by islam and all muslims should condemn it.
However frankly speaking when the US forces kill hundreds of innocents in afghanistan and iraq and call it as Collateral damage they should also be prepared to face some collateral damage on their side.
Secondly, for muslims, respect of Islam and our prophet SAWS are much more important than anything and everything in this world - and it can't be exchanged for anything (including free speech).
Lastly as many ql'ers have already stated - when law can be made against denial of holocaust then why can't law be made for blasphemy ???
