Upto one month there is no fine. After one month you have to pay a fine of Qrs. 500/-. The procedure to renew the istimara is as follows:

1. Go to technical inspection centre (Industrial area, Al-Wakra, Mesaimeer etc.) and get the certificate.

2. Renew the insurance premium

3. Go to any traffic police or Interior ministry service centre to renew the istimara.
