gg123, doesn't matter where you earn your income, you owe US taxes if you are a citizen or resident of the US. You may be eligible for a foreign-earned income exemption if you meet certain, fairly stringent criteria. ok, I don't understand why CMU is asking you to pay for your yearly tickets home, that's not standard procedure. If you are making more in the US, by all means stay in the US.
