If your rx320 is fulltime 4x4, 6-8kms per liter is normal. If you want to get more milage, no choice but to remove both front drive shafts.
Late engage for d and sudden hard engage for reverse is a sign of transmission going to spoilt. Try to change atf first buy it at al nael but change it outside. It is cheaper.
If it still not okay after 1000 kmh with that new atf, you need to service the valve body or / and change those 32 plates of transmission clutch. Ac delco type are better than original ssanyong.
Do this at al nael may cost you around qr10k, but if out side labour cost is around qr3-4 k and parts need to buy it your self.
I am using it for 5 years, except for that AT Gearbox and Fuel Pump issue, this RX320 is really a good and confortable machine.
My odometer is now around 150k too. Oil change every 2000kms. (8liters).
