weird. i thought it's pretty common these days. when my first nephew was born back home the first thing the doctor asked is "where's the camera?" and it was a relatively strict hospital. they don't let fathers in the delivery room and they don't allow the babies out of the nursery until the moment they get to be discharged.

most of my friends who gave birth these past few years had their babies' pictures taken once they get out of the womb. they're mostly purple and so uncute yet but probably something worth putting on scrapbooks and school projects. or an answer to them when they grow up and ask where they came from, what they looked like. or if they're adopted/picked up on the streets/dropped by the stork/bought from the store. no one has to pay for them though. the nurses take the pics for the parents.
