based on my religious beliefs, and own experiences, I do believe in the evil eye and the ruination and cataclysm it can cause. The effects of jealousy, envy and covetousness can bring out the worst in some people causing them to turn against even their closest of friends.
Being humble and being devoid of boastfulness and arrogance, and avoiding flaunting your wealth and riches even to those you presume can do you no harm, is never a bad thing.And can by far prevent a lot of harm being inflicted upon us.
