I'll give you a good example why this 160 is not a problem (really EXCEPT it is violation of the limit):
In corniche or in may parts of Doha, the speed limit is 80, you go beyond that, technically it's illegal. But you can drive 100 or 120 (at nightime when there are less car)BUT of course you will pay the fine.
In areas where the speed limit is 120, you can drive to 140 or 160 BUT again, you have to pay the fine if caught.
For me, the 80, 120, 160 are just numbers, it's the attitude (the discipline) that counts.
Who will say that driving at 60 you will not die if you met an accident? No one is sure!
