Lets not get too carried away with emotions. The woman in abaya was probably behaving based on what she has been taught and maybe she sees nothing wrong in treating a filipina or an asian like that.
I know it for a fact through my local friends that since childhood they are made to believe that their maids,drivers servants etc are from poor countries where they don't have even food or clothing and that they are being favoured on by the 'masters' by providing a good salary,accomodation and food and that they have to be thankful. If there are instances of abuse,it is to be looked upon as a bearable punishment in exchange for all the riches.
Now if the above is true, I don't think this generation can be blamed for having such a pathetic attitude. And I doubt if education can change this.
