dell has a few issues that are present in the 5110 series and also in the 7110 (the 17" laptops)
1. excessive heat from the bottom left side of the laptop. Sometimes it gets so hot that you cannot even keep your hand there :) - good cooling pad should do the trick... the problem is finding one here in qatar with a big fan and 2000-4000 RPM + high CFM (cubic feet per minute air intake)
2. Looks like poor quality materials were used when building the case of the laptop. Cheap plastic.
3. The performance is quite good however at the smallest sign of hardware stress (opening a program, watching a movie) it heats up like an oven.
I'll tell you more as they come up since i have the same model with different components.
