Your husband can apply for the kids while you and them wait in the UK. If there is no movement on the waiting list then obviously you don't want to give up their places in the UK. To be fair it is probably harder to get your kids into a good public school in the Uk than DESS. People are coming and going from Qatar as there is only so much time you can spend here.
The quality of DESS is OK, but the teachers do tend to concentrate on the better kids. There is also considerable bias and confidentially can also be breached. Codes of conduct and ethics are more relaxed here.
