Well schools like my daughter goes to has these methods of disciplining:
1)telling the mischievous child to stand in the corner.
2)not allowing them certain tasks they take pleasure in doing like erasing the board.
3)Getting them to write stuff like "I'm sorry" "I will not do this again" etc a few dozen times.
4)Not allowing them to go play during break.
5)Detention
These are just a few and I must say they pretty much do the job as far as most if not all the kids go(I know this judging from what both my daughter has told me and from what I hear from other parents and teachers. Specially 3 and 4. But y'know more than any of these "punishments" I notice smaller kids tend to respond far better when spoken to with kindness and positive words than all the harsh talk and insults.
