If you are accepted and have signed your contract your university won't think it's a bother to hear from you and provide you with information. Ask your HR relocation person for pictures. I guess I'd describe the furnishings I've seen as nice, but used. Ours (not in Ed City but with the medical school) were new and very nice. Wireless and wired were available but due to the concrete walls was somewhat limited. We always laughed at our free-to-air TV. 1300 channels with four in English!
