hey..i've pretty much grown up here and been in the UK long time as well..having seen both scenes and considering certain points you make; I'll only ask you to ensure everything's set on the job, employer and accommodation front. Once you have that peace of mind, I'll go out on a limb and promise that you'll love everything else here. Hell, I/people will even help you settle in (before the mud flies; no I'm not hitting on anyone) Other than that, take every opinion you get on this forum with a grain of salt (mine included).
