Hi, it is easy to get a car. I would advise you to purchase new though, because the way they abuse cars out here, you never know what you are buying second hand. We have purchased a big 4x4 Ford Expedition, because the majority of cars on the roads are 4x4 and you will feel safer in a big car. We paid 121,000 QAR, which is alot cheaper than it would have been in the UK (this costs us 2800QAR per month). If you are earning a decent wage, Banks are very pleased to lend you the money with just a letter from your employer proving your earnings. Alternatively you can, and alot of people do, hire cars. I would advise you hire a car for the first couple of months anyway until you get the hang of the road rules. If you need any further info, do get in touch. Good Luck!
