In my case, I have with me the affidavit of support from my husband but it was not asked from me by the Immigration Officer so I just kept it in my bag and didn't bother to show. I traveled with my son.

But as we all know that every Immigration Officer is asking for different requirements depending on their moods, better to get an Affidavit of support and send it to your wife.
