s_isale - I would suggest that your relative flew on the london gatwick run, not heathrow? That was a common comment about this route, and hence the reason they stopped it last year and put on another one to Manchester daily.
Back to my point, as far as I know the 2 direct routes out of UK - Manchester and Heathrow are always very busy and one I know from pesonal experience and the other my husband often travels to Heathrow and says the same.
As I said before, what is wrong with allowing BA to fly direct from those 2 airports and grant them landing rights here to do that, not just via Bahrain, which is useless
