FACTS :Remember this is the richest country in the world. One must be able to adapt to the local culture ans respect their values and you will be happy here!
One needs to be very patient .
Good things are that the cost of living is lesser, tax free income, many expatriates around ,(mostly from India and neighbouring countries and UK )most of the year has a good climate but from June to august. With A.C all around you can manage that well. Lots of sports activities that you can do if you are interested in and for your kids and family and nice beaches and corniche to spend your weekends.
Please know that everytime you need to leave the country, you need an exit permit from your employer (I think it is done within a day ).
Also NOC if incase you wish to change job within the country or leave and you will need to wait for 4 months atleast to get your RP .
I have started liking Qatar, for the quiet life that am getting , lower cost of living, with nice eateries, low cab costs, the malls etc.. (am comparing with the previous country where i lived, in south east asia. )
