This is called the ugly duckling/Cinderella syndrome.Don't worry...with time,Inshallah, as the child matures, he/she will stop seeing things this way.
Personally I still think my parents did treat me differently as compared to my sisters but now I realize my faults(I used to be TERRIBLY naughty, a mega bully, and very attention starved!) in it all and today my once stormy relationship with my folks is all lovey dovey and fine,Al Hamdullilah. But its really only after I got married and became a mom myself that I realized all this. Today its kinda funny to hear my one and only kiddo tell me "You don't love me" "maybe you are not my mother" etc...lol. Wonder who she takes after?
