I have seen this happening quite often near the Qatar Bowling Center underpass. Everyone slows down to about 60kmph, though speed limit is 80kmph. The flash of the radar under the bridges is not only for overspeeding cars, but also for high trucks (height above certain meters (for obvious reasons). So, if there was a truck next to you, it was most likely for the truck. Point to point radars would be useful on highways (straight roads) and not within the city with plenty of roundabouts. Anyways, always drive under the speed limit, but not too slow or you can experience other flashes in your rear view mirror :).
