Tobyson, seeing as I suspect your comments are a bit tongue in cheek (but if not what is going on there), try living with a cooker which gives you a massive electric shock every time you touch it and wait for 8 months to get it fixed! Now a wobbly chair may not be so vital - use another chair - a cooker is another thing
