But living here in Doha it didn't really perturb me.I'd just assume a firework session or some other celebration. But years ago, back in Sri lanka during the war, when we hear such noises our hearts would be full of dread and our blood turns to water as we listen up for the dreaded sound of an ambulance siren confirming our fears...yet another bomb explosion!
