Marcos has brought Philippines to the world by wide-range tourism projects and lifetime built roads and bridges, economy was good enough that locals doesn't need to go outside country to work and earn. Jobs are elsewhere and salary was enough for daily survival, with projects on economical supermarkets that sells low-price prime commodities, monthly sustains every corner of the country of "yellow corn",milk,instant noodles, monggo, sometime includes toys for kids,etc...no President in Philippines has made the same as Marcos had for his country. The big question is: why they'd urge him to step down?!..purely POLITICAL reason! Some greedy, ambitious politicians used their influence to brainwash opposed group and ignite the People Power!...they won! and gained power, money and until now, Philippines didn't recover its poverty!..poor constituents, never realized what loss was Marcos..as for me, also with Gaddafi!
