Unfortunatly you want quick fix answers to the questions you pose, where in truth there arn't any. All these open ended questions you ask do not have objective truths - they have a myriad of nuiances, a multispectrum of different shades of grey.
Best to think about the questions you pose yourself but flipped 180 degrees, and say 'Why not?'
