After the explanation given by Death-Note, I would say the customer is right in making a scene.
All supermarkets, specially the big ones, need to check their stocks before the open to the public for the day.
Of course, fresh foods get spoilt due to the heat and humidity here, but these guys should prepare for such.
Very often we (or at least I) see these prepacked boxes at some of the shopping centres and when we take it home, on the top it looks good but inside it is spoilt, we do realise and appreciate it is due to the weather and storage here.
