Yesterday, as I was crossing the Al Mana mall carpark, this guy in a small black car was driving from my right, looking like he was going straight (ie across my path but quite a bit away from me). I did not think much of it as he was no where near me at the time but then he suddenly swerved towards me, without indicating (and going very fast), he missed me by a couple of cm. He looking more shocked than I was and you guessed it, he was on the phone. If I had been that bit closer to him,he would have run into me, may have been serious may not have been but that was more by luck than good judgement on his part. I hope he reads this article.
