As long as your intention is to be decent and respecting the local culture, why not?  Behaving decently should be followed as well as not to ruin the good image of the abaya itself. I love abaya it shows dignity.

Cant imagine a lady wearing abaya but acting "too free" in public :) that would be not acceptable.
