I guess you are new to QL so you are unaware that I happen to be of Indian blood too. My mom is Indian and so is my dad's mom. I have family in India. In SL we are refereed too as "Indian Muslims"! Now where have I "meddled" with "others"???
As for my comment then I certainly know what I am talking about having been to India myself. And yes SL has their side of ethnic clashes too and had a Muslim/Tamil couple attempted to bring up a Buddhist child in this manner then their would certainly be controversies and trials in the manner the couple mentioned in the OP are facing. Such is the sad state of the world we live in.and I'm sure anyone who takes such steps are aware of this and kudos to them for still being brave enough to do so!
