i hope this makes sense:
Total qatar population (including expats) - 1.65 million Total expat population - 1.4 Million Total Qatari population - 250 thousand
the gender segmentation is roughly 18& female and 82% male
that wud mean out of the 1.4 million expats
feMale = 250000 male = 1.15million (lets say 300000 out of that are under father's sponsorship roughly)
therefore, qatar govt... fixed yearly income thru Ekama
Female + male under dad sponsor = (250000+300000)X 550/-
Male working expats = 850 000 * 1050/-
which makes it 302.5 million + 892.5 million
therefore, roughly 1.2 billion only thru ekama
addition to that qataris are benefited thru monthly accommodation rental, any local purchase (any business has a qatari sponsor getting some benefit)
in other words... expats are adding to the wealth of Qatar govt from more than 60% of their monthly income.
