Try as you can to hide it ultimately what is in your heart will show in your actions/speech. Which is why I don't buy the whole "I maybe a sinner but my heart is clean" dialog some people throw when they are chastised for their misdemeanors. As a Muslim we are taught by our Prophet "Surely there is in the body a small piece of flesh; if it is good, the whole body is good, and if it is corrupted, the whole body is corrupted, and that is surely the heart" and this I believe is very true!
